The design finds its own space inside the Caffè, where many renowned artist not only exhibited, but also created original design objects for the Florian.


Oskar Kogoj ”Natur design” 1999

On the occasion of his second exhibition at the Florian, the Slovenian artist presented an anthology of his most famous design objects, created for industrial production: from the arches for the Olympic competitions to the Elan ski, from hunting knives to fine decorative objects.


Gaetano Pesce “Nobody’s perfect in Venice” 2002

The great architect-designer exhibited in St. Mark’s Square his sculpture armchairs, each a unique piece made with colourful resin.


Sergio Pausig “Cucharillas por el Cafè Florian” 2003

Sergio Pausig is at home at Florian’s with his countless artistic interventions. On this occasion, he realized a special series of “Dadaists” silver spoons in limited edition.


Oskar Kogoj “Ceramiche” 2005

The Slovenian artist created on this occasion a series of porcelain doves, a universal symbol of peace.


Alessandro Mendini “Tre mobile veneziani”

As a tribute to Venice, one of the most famous Italian designers created three original pieces of furniture that were on display with other objects inside the Florian Rooms.
