A week dedicated to the cocktails’ world: classical and contemporary mixology and aware drinking culture
Following the great success of Singapore, London, Paris and Rome Cocktail Week, also Florence will become one of the international mixology capital.
Florence Cocktail Week is a special itinerary, perfect for cocktails’ lovers; it brings them through the most charming streets, squares and historical buildings of Florence discovering the best cocktail bar for taste the cocktail of the best barmen.
The main characters of the event will be the bartenders; with their creativity they create one or more cocktails that will be offered at a special prince during all the week.
Among the attendee, there is also our skillful barman of Florian Firenze that created for this special week an exclusive cocktail:
“BRIT seventeentwenty” is a twist on a classic cocktail named “French 75” which originally was prepared with Cognac but now is mostly known for his gin-based version.
The distilled base is Sipsmith Gin and his Sloe-berries infused version. The sour element is given by lime & lemon juice paired with thyme & blueberry shrub (a syrup cut with a part of vinegar).
The “SeventeenTwenty” is referred to the year of birth of the Venetian Caffè Florian, which intercedes in the drink with his “Brut Franciacorta”.
The cocktail is thaught to be paired with traditional Tuscan cusine, often characterized by cold cuts and long cooking meats flavoured with typical local smell such as juniper, thyme and sloe berries.
