Art design glass

Art glass means the modern art glass movement. It is a collaboration of experienced artists specializing in distinctive glass treatments for both commercial and residential setting. Artists are working to generate works from molten glass in relatively small furnaces of a few hundred pounds of glass. The larger individual pieces are made by glass workers efforts which are corresponding of a master piece in the journeyman system of guild and factory work in addition to smaller production pieces. It began in 1960s and continues throughout the end of the century.

Art glass design

Before 1960, art glass would have referred to glass made for decorative use, habitually by factory workers, taking glass from furnaces with a thousand or more pounds of glass. The glass objects are not serviceable. They are projected to make a sculptural or decorative statement. Most studio glass workers also try to turn out larger individual pieces.
Caffe Florian is produced glass art designed products. Our all products are exhibited at Florian a part of the Caffe Florian’s private collection and are often lent to important museums, such as the centre Pompidous in Paris and the Guggenheim Museum in New York, on the occasion of special events.
